CenterOnline Provides Free Hand Sanitizing Gel To 500 Extracurricular And Language Center In Vietnam Amid Covid-19 Outbreak
CenterOnline donated 1000 bottles of disinfectant hand sanitizer to 500 foreign language and extracurricular centers nationwide to share difficulties during the time of Covid-19 outbreak.
As reported by the Voice of Vietnam on February 18th, 2020, Vietnam continues closing all schools for one more week, lengthening the closure to a third consecutive week in an effort to prevent the spreading of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19)-caused respiratory sickness. As many as 56 out of 63 cities and provinces nationwide decided to close schools until the end of February. The southern metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City plans to close schools until the end of March.
Ministry of Education and Training has also planned to stretch out the academic year to ensure the teaching program.
Vietnam has more than 24 million schoolchildren. Many of them attend extracurricular and language classes at a CenterOnline partner centers where classes also have to be postponed or cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
CenterOnline has been working closely with these extracurricular and language centers, to ensure communication between the centers and students on the CenterOnline app continues without disruption; teachers and tutors continue to assign homework and give instructions to students via the app.
This week, the CenterOnline team has also been able to procure 1,000 sets of high quality hand sanitizing gels, to be distributed free of charge to 500 extracurricular and language centers all over Vietnam, to help them prepare better to welcome back students during and after the COVID-19 outbreak.
